I did the same thing with Cigarette girl
In Cigarette Girl, Mike McCarthy uses black and white picture scheme and a lack of certain details to make each viewer draw their own conclusions. This is like reading a book but instead of using descriptive words you get to see the picture and draw from that. The plot is surprisingly deep and just when you think you know what will happen next a twist comes along to keep you on the edge of your seat. In class we talked about the difference in Reality vs. Fantasy and this movie really brings all of that out. This is definitely a movie where each individual has to draw his own conclusions. The story leaves a lot of question marks when it comes to the characters like why are all the characters nameless basically. If I can make it to the event with Mike McCarthy I will enjoy asking him about the characters names. The story also seems to be like a propaganda film for the anti-smoking movement and seems to compare them to drugs, but set in the year 2035 after cigarette prices skyrocket.
